Mission
The Mission of the Ventura High School Music Department is to provide the students with a balanced and well-rounded music education. Miss Williams’ aim is to provide all participating students with the fundamental, historical, theoretical, and musical knowledge to allow them to progress further into the study of music, both at Ventura High School and beyond. Furthermore, it provides students with positive, life-changing experiences that will serve to broaden their education, and allow them to personally experience new and unique performance opportunities, cultures, and repertoire. Miss Williams believes in the expectation of musical excellence. Using music as the teaching medium, students will be taught discipline, citizenship, teamwork, goal-setting, fulfillment, work-ethic, and musicianship.
